Getting Started
How does InboxTrim work?
InboxTrim connects to your Gmail account through secure Google OAuth authentication. Once connected, it analyzes your inbox and organizes emails into smart bundles, making it easy to take bulk actions like deleting, archiving, or unsubscribing.
Is InboxTrim safe to use?
Absolutely. We use Google OAuth for authentication and never store your password. Your email data is processed securely, encrypted in transit and at rest, and never shared with third parties. We only access email metadata necessary to provide our service.
What Gmail permissions does InboxTrim need?
InboxTrim requests permission to read your email metadata (sender, subject, date, labels), modify emails (for actions like delete, archive, label), and manage subscriptions. We never read the full body content of your emails.
Pricing & Billing
How does the free plan work?
You can start using InboxTrim for free with up to 1,000 emails synced. All features are included in the free plan. When you upgrade to Pro, you get unlimited email sync with no restrictions.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Your account will remain active until the end of your billing period, then revert to the Free plan. You won't be charged for subsequent periods.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for Pro subscriptions. If you're not satisfied with the service, contact us within 30 days of your initial purchase for a full refund.
What happens when I reach the 1,000 email limit?
On the Free plan, once you reach 1,000 synced emails, you can still use all features on your existing synced emails but won't sync additional new emails. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited email sync.
Features
What are Smart Bundles?
Smart Bundles automatically group your emails by sender, making it easy to see who sends you the most email and take bulk actions on all emails from a specific sender at once.
How does one-click unsubscribe work?
When you click unsubscribe on an email, InboxTrim automatically finds and processes the unsubscribe link for that sender. This works for newsletters and marketing emails that include standard unsubscribe headers.
Can I undo actions like delete or archive?
Deleted emails are moved to Gmail's Trash and can be recovered within 30 days (after which Google permanently deletes them). Archived emails are simply removed from your inbox and can be found in All Mail.
What are Auto Clean Rules?
Auto Clean Rules let you set up automatic actions for incoming emails. For example, you can automatically archive emails from certain senders or delete promotional emails older than a certain date.
Account & Data
Can I disconnect my Gmail account?
Yes, you can disconnect your Gmail account at any time from your account settings. You can also revoke InboxTrim's access directly from your Google account security settings.
How do I delete my InboxTrim account?
You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@inboxtrim.com. We will delete all your data from our systems within 30 days of the request.
What data does InboxTrim store?
We store email metadata (sender, subject, date, labels, message IDs) to provide our service. We do not store the full body content of your emails. Your data is encrypted and stored securely on Google Cloud Platform.
